Franklin Traffic School
Franklin County Driving
School
If you're a resident of Apalachicola, or Carrabelle, have a Florida
Driver's license, or you received a traffic ticket in Florida, then traffic school may be for you! By electing traffic
school you may be able to avoid points on your driver's license, and maintain your clean driving record.
If
you choose to go to school, you must sign the Driver Improvement Course Affidavit Form, file it with the Clerk’s Office
and pay the reduced fine within 30 days of the date you received the ticket. Upon receipt of the affidavit
and payment, you will be granted an extra 90 days to attend a driver improvement school in the State of Florida.
Failure to attend the school or pay the fine will result in suspension of your license or late fees being
assessed. With school completion, no points are assessed against your Driver’s License. Be aware
that often the reduced fine plus the school’s fee could equal an amount greater than the original fine.
There
are 29 Driver School Course Providers in Florida. Traffic schools are listed in your local telephone directory under "driving
instruction" or "traffic schools. To find online you can click here for a list of approved Florida DMV approved traffic schools. The cost of traffic school is around $22 to $44.
