If your ticket number is not showing up in the Court system you may need to try back. It sometimes takes a few weeks for the issuing agency to submit the citation to the Clerk's office. You have thirty (30) days to pay a traffic ticket, request a hearing, or elect traffic school.

Payment should be made within 30 days of the date the ticket was issued (please allow 5 days for the officer to turn the ticket over to the Clerk's Office). The Clerk's Office will accept partial payments, however there is a monthly fee associated with this option.  The Clerk's Office will also accept personal checks, debit cards, cashier's checks, money orders, Western Union wire transfers, Visa, MasterCard, Discover and American Express. When paying by credit card, there is a non-refundable charge to provide this service. The Clerk's Office does not receive any part of this fee.

Payment can be madeto the Clerk of the Court by mail, over the Internet, via Western Union, at any Amscot location, or in person at one of our offices in Titusville, Merritt Island, Melbourne, Viera or Palm Bay.

After 30 days if the citation has not been paid, a delinquency fee will be added and your driver license will be suspended. Also, after 120 days, the unpaid fees will be turned over to a collection agency and additional fees will be assessed.

Before paying a traffic citation, or electing traffic school you should discuss your case with an experienced traffic ticket attorney in Brevard County. Paying your traffic tickets could result in points on your license, higher insurance rates, or possible even the suspension of your driver‘s license. The Brevard County Clerk of Court does not accept Visa Credit or Debit cards at the counter. They will only accept Visa Credit or Debit cards for on-line, phone, or mail transactions.
